About
“Clarity is therefore not a sufficient but certainly a necessary condition for philosophical efficacy. Only when a certain level of clarity is reached, one can decide if it is possible to continue. One who does not pursue clarity perhaps contributes to the colorfulness of culture but certainly not to philosophy.”
-Frits Staal (1930-2012)-
I am a PhD student in the Institute of Philosophy (Hoger Instituut voor Wijsbegeerte) at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven), working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Filip Buekens. I studied economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam and philosophy at Tilburg University and Antwerp University.
As an external PhD student I combine academic research with a job in industry as Application Specialist for the (Dutch) IT company ICT Automatisering.
My primary areas of interest include general philosophy of science, scientific models, and scientific representation. My research will focus on scientific models, representation and accuracy.
